Dr. Paul Brackeen is a licensed Chiropractor serving the Derby community.
Dr. Paul Brackeen has been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Derby, KS. A Chiropractor with experience, Dr. Brackeen is committed to promoting the optimal health and well being of patients.
Dr. Brackeen uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Brackeen is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
Dr. Paul Brackeen earned a Pre-Med Bachelor's degree from Wichita State University and his doctoral degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. He is a previous recipient of the Kansas Young Doctor of the Year Award, and current President of the Kansas Chiropractic Association. He was born and raised in the Derby area, attending Rose Hill schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade. He is married with, three children, two daughters and a son. He played sports throughout high school and college and coached his daughter's basketball team. He practices the health and wellness he promotes to his patients, including nutritional supplements, cardiovascular exercise and lifting weights.
As a new addition to Brackeen Chiropractic, Dr. Mindy Ewert offers whole body healthcare, addressing not only your physical structure but also your chemical and emotional self. She brings the latest training and education on sports and injury rehabilitation, clinical nutrition, and the safe, gentle chiropractic techniques like the low-force Activator.
Dr. Mindy Ewert was born and raised in Wichita, attended Pittsburg State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. Then she packed her bags for St. Louis to Logan College of Chiropractic. At Logan, she also graduated Summa Cum Laude with another Bachelor's specific to Human Biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in December of 2008.
Dr Mindy decided to become a chiropractor after shadowing one in high school and witnessing miracles that seemed to be commonplace in chiropractic. "I have personally witnessed and have had the privilege to be involved in some of those miracles, so I definitely know the power of chiropractic and want to help others realize it too, thus inspiring my mission to educate and empower people about their health". In accomplishing this mission she has lectured on many health topics for Wesley Rehabilitation Clinic, The Regent, Comfort Keepers In-Home Care, Xenon International Academy, Heritage College, and the Derby Senior Center.
Dr. Mindy is a part of the Kansas Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, Wichita Health and Wellness Coalition, Youth Professionals of Wichita and Derby, Derby Community Coalition Promoting Healthy Choices, and Derby Health Collaborative.
